What is Gynaecomastia?

Gynaecomastia or Male Breast Enlargement is a condition in which some men have increased breast growth due to a mixture of gland enlargement as well as fat deposition.

Common causes are – Obesity, alcohol consumption, Liver problems, Intake of certain medications, Hypogonadism or mostly Idiopathic (no definitive cause)

Grades –

Grade 1 – mild enlargement and no skin excess

Grade 2a – moderate enlargement and no skin excess

Grade 2b – moderate enlargement with skin excess

Grade 3 – severe enlargement with skin excess.
