Procedure Details
Technique of Facial Bone Fracture Reconstruction in Dubai
It is usually done under General Anesthesia.
After cleaning and Debridement (removing damaged tissue and readying good tissue for subsequent repair), the fracture site is exposed by incisions placed in hidden areas or from inside the mouth.
The fracture is then reduced back to its normal position and it is fixed via thin, strong titanium plates to hold it in place until it heals. The incisions are then closed by fine plastic surgery techniques.
The plates do not require any removal later as it is made of surgical grade Titanium and you can get MRI scans and other medical procedures safely later as well.
Recovery
- You will need rest to recuperate from the injury.
- You will need to visit the doctor a few times for dressing to ensure your healing is going well.
