What is Arm Lift ?
Arm Lift is a minimal access procedure wherein your arms are contoured by Liposuction – fat is sucked out from underneath the skin thus creating a slimmer arm shape. Sometimes, there maybe excessive skin due to a massive weight loss in which case, a skin excision procedure may also be needed.

Your consultation
During your consultation, after careful examination, Dr Suhas will ascertain your body type and the best treatment plan for you.
He will also take you through the whole procedure in pictures and show you some of the before and after so that you get a good idea about what you can expect from the procedure.
It is imperative at this time for you to reveal your complete medical history including any medications you maybe taking or other treatments you might be undergoing so that your safety is ensured.
Feeling apprehensive before the surgery takes place is entirely normal. You will be made comfortable and you will be free to ask all your queries and doubts, however seemingly small or big it maybe to you.
Preparation
Once you have chosen to go ahead with the procedure, Dr Suhas will advise you a few blood tests etc to ensure that you are indeed in good health otherwise.
If you do have medical conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension, Thyroid Problems, Asthma or anything else, Dr Suhas will ensure it is well treated and controlled before the procedure.
On the day of procedure
Dr Suhas will see you before the procedure for marking the areas of the liposuction.

- Above 18 years age.
- Those who are not very obese (within 30% of their ideal body weight).
- Those in reasonably good health without wound healing issues.
- Should be willing to or already following a reasonably healthy lifestyle.
- Medical conditions like Diabetes, Hypertension should be under control.

Recovery

- You will also be prescribed some antibiotics to prevent infection.
- Most patients can resume desk work after 3-4 days with minimum discomfort.
- You will need to visit Dr Suhas a couple of times to ensure your recovery is on the right path.
- You will be provided pressure garment which you will need to wear underneath your clothes, which helps reduce swelling and improve skin contraction and the subsequent final result.
- Depending on the area treated, the swelling may take up to a few weeks to a couple of months to fully subside and for the result to be visible.
